Stainless Steel Tiffin Bento

Here's an empty view of my new bento box. It has two tiers ~ a shallow one on top (shown on the right), which fits over the deeper bowl on the left. There are two locking mechanisms to ensure a tight seal, and two handles on the lid which can be raised for carrying, and folded flat for packing. It's quite sturdy and strong, and I expect it to withstand at least a year of 6-year-old swinging lunchbag action! (hopefully ;)

Right now it's so shiny and new...and full of bento lunch possibilities for the year ahead.

  1. I have a round bento box, not a tiffin tin like this, but quite similar which I bought from Muji. It's fab, you can pack so much in it and it does stand lots of abuse. I think your kid will be ok with it!

  3. I love most all bento boxes, but I'm thinking a metal one might be the material to go for. Plus it's just so darn shiny and cute.

  4. Hi Judy! Stainless is my favorite material for food packing. I like how it washes clean and doesn't leave food evidence (like some plastic containers after they have been used awhile). I like glass for food storage too, but too bad that won't work for kid lunches ;)
