Bento of oyakodon, with okra and chive detail, purple carrot stars, sweet potatoes, one of the last remaining yellow pear tomatoes on my now-scraggly bush, olive and feta. Dinosaur Egg plums and black grapes.
Sheri, I like your pretty colourful bento. The color of your chosen veggie and fruits, wow! I wonder why I haven't seen a yellow tomato, or purple carrot, or even purple cauliflower as I've seen in your bentos. This is the first time I've ever heard of purple carrot and yellow tomatoes! Your bento looks very nutritious.
Thanks a lot Jenny! I use colorful produce that I find in my local farmers markets. I think they add a nice touch to the bento and give my kids added nutrition as well. I hope you can find them in your markets soon too!
I am sherimiya ♥, and these are my kids MisterMan & TinySprite. Glad to meet you, and thanks for visiting us. We ♥ bento, and hope you enjoy our bento adventures here!
I am a former research scientist turned stay-at-home-mom of 2 who got started with bento in an effort to help my kids learn that eating healthy and nutritious foods can be fun and cute. I make a bento lunch for my 9yo (4th grader) son & my 5yo kindergartener girl every school day, and post the pictures on my sherimiya ♥ flickr photostream. Here in this blog is where I describe each bento, and you'll also get a peek inside our family adventures. Thanks for taking a look, and please let me know what you think ^-^!
