Yes, it's the ever-popular herby chicken and potatoes! I think the kids prefer it over the traditional local-style shoyu chicken and rice. Aww. The ECOlunchbox Tri bento serves the purpose well here: I put the chicken pieces in the bottom along with some steamed broccoli, then the potatoes and roasted tomatoes in the next tier, followed by the fruit section containing sliced peach (where did I find a peach? I don't even remember), strawberries and little strawberry guavas given to us by a friend. Are you interested in winning a Tri Bento for your very own self? All you need to do is log an entry into the giveaway, and I'll try to pick your name! U.S only please. Thanks!

I love that you always have lots of fruits and veggies in the bento you make. If I won the contest I would re-make holiday leftovers for work later. I'd make a salad with turkey and cranberries on top, with asparagus on the side.
ReplyDeleteI stumbled upon "Bento" while searching for homemade yogurt. I'm hooked! I have spent the last 2 hours looking through different blogs and am fascinated. I have been taking down lunch ideas on my phone while reading and can't wait to start trying this for my girls. I'd love to win the ECOlunchbox to be able to send with my husband to work. I think this will be good for all of us as we have recently started portion control & healthier eating.
ReplyDeleteLol, I was staring at the picture trying to figure out what those were. Strawberry guavas?!?!?!! That sounds awesome! How do they taste?
ReplyDeleteThis looks delish! I love reading your blog to get new ideas for meals at home. I try not to eat out, so handy food storage containers, especially bento boxes, are a must at my house. And now that I have my little guy is turning one, I have lots of ideas for making mealtime fun! ^_^
ReplyDeleteEek! I love the little carrying bag these come with. Too cute :]
ReplyDeleteAwesome, awesome giveaway! :) I would love to pack chicken curry and rice. :)
ReplyDeleteOh how nice! Those lunchboxes would be very convenient!! They look super adorable too!!
ReplyDeleteI have never had a stainless bento, but always wanted one.
ReplyDeleteI would pack salad, fruits, and a sandwich first!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is seriously amazing. I love allllllll of your bentos! It has really helped me to get ideas on how to pack a bento since I am just starting out. I can not thank you enough for keeping up with this blog! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat wouldn't I pack in it? I am just starting out in the bento-making world and love your site!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, this would be a whole new way to pack lunch for me! I would probably use this for my son (big eater!) put ham & cheese roll ups in the bottom, in the middle something crunchy (eg pirate booty) and the top sliced fruit + a mini muffin :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great little set up!
I love the bags, Sheri. So colorful! I think I found my calling.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loves Hello Kitty so it'll have to be a Hello Kitty rice ball with fresh salad and garlic chicken!

I would finally be able to take a full meal consisting of different courses to uni - so no more fussing about the 'should I put a main meal into the lunchbox for microwaving it later or should I take the fruit salad I made earlier'-question and an inevitably healthier lunch :)
ReplyDeleteI would finally be able to pack a better and healthier lunch for my son to take to school. I have always loved the idea of bento boxes, but I haven't had the money to buy any yet.
ReplyDeleteI would love to pack a variety of fruits!
ReplyDeleteWow..
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway / contest.
I hope I can have similar giveaway like this too.
Hope everyone enjoy it. Good luck.
