Enchilada Soup LunchBot Thermal Bento for Fall!

Everyone is talking about the upcoming fall weather, and I'm starting to get excited about fall soups. So even though it's not exactly cold yet, we're having chicken enchilada soup (see the recipe and method I used here). As usual, I added a lot of nontraditional extras such as zucchini, carrots, corn, celery, and leeks. It was good (if a tad bit spicy). I served TinySprite's portion over rice, and she ate hers without too much complaint over the heat. I get to use the LunchBots Thermal food jar for this bento, and packed it along with a side container of white peach, grapes and strawberry. Happy Fall!

  2. Love your blog! Been following you for a while. This looks good and I can't wait to make soups for the little one's lunch again. (We're having August in October right now, 80+ degrees and humid in the east coast.) How do you like the LB food jar? Which do you or your kids prefer, the LB or the apple-shaped 2-tier bowl? I'm looking to invest in one coz my daughter loves rice bowls but the insulated jar we currently have has a narrow opening. Thanks for your reply!

    1. Hi Lani!
I like the ease of thermal bento, plus the kids like a hot meal when the weather cools down. I have the Thermos brand for my girl, but the Lunchbot jar does have a wider mouth, which is more useful. However, that one does not retain heat a well. The best all around jar is from Stanley (the one I use is red; you might do a search inside this blog to see it and find the Amazon link), but it is all steel and a bit heavy. It will last forever and foods stay piping hot. Hope this helps!
