They smell and taste like real bread. If you let the Crusty Boule dough age in the fridge a few days before baking its like sourdough.

Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17718931993754170740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8222492780451339521.post-6263980068932152692012-09-19T20:48:24.922-07:002012-09-19T20:48:24.922-07:00So happy you want to try it JJ! As long as you make them pretty thin, you really can't tell the difference! I'm trying really hard to make other substitutions, like sourdough bread, and I'm not totally sold on the GF versions.

I hope you like this one, and thanks so much for your nice compliments. I really appreciate them!!Happy Little Bentohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07715208750492287214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8222492780451339521.post-58636624123085937792012-09-19T16:52:47.113-07:002012-09-19T16:52:47.113-07:00Thanks, Sherimiya, for posting a GF gyoza recipe!!...Thanks, Sherimiya, for posting a GF gyoza recipe!!! It has been 13 years since I've been GF and I have SO missed gyoza! I tried to make wrappers once and it was so disastrous I never tried again, though I bake everything else under the sun. Thanks for this recipe and your many other delicious and healthy recipes and ideas!! I hope you and your son can try it out!
Thanks for posting your recipe~ I've been doing some experimenting too, and I have found a good combo of flours (whew!) - tonight I am making another batch with coconut flour. Man that stuff smells SO good!
Thanks a lot for all your encouragement!Happy Little Bentohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07715208750492287214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8222492780451339521.post-75602336318468098252012-05-24T19:31:56.102-07:002012-05-24T19:31:56.102-07:00Yeah, I was happily surprised they did turn golden...Yeah, I was happily surprised they did turn golden brown on the bottoms! Pasta I probably won't try to make at home since it's readily available (thank goodness), but the pizza and gyoza were big ones. GF shoyu helps a lot too!
Thank Heather :)Happy Little Bentohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07715208750492287214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8222492780451339521.post-62386657934417470052012-05-24T13:42:12.738-07:002012-05-24T13:42:12.738-07:00So winning and delish! My son and I have been gluten free for 8 years now, and that means it's been 8 years since we've had gyoza!!
I'm the one who promised you my chocolate chip cookie recipe - and I plan to put the recipe on my blog on Friday. I've been busy with end of school year stuff, but now I have some extra time to bake and write up my recipe, so if you're still interested, check here tomorrow:

http://www.beneficial-bento.com/

thanks,
KristieKristiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06977011055840520744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8222492780451339521.post-36438559313639615512012-05-24T03:41:45.995-07:002012-05-24T03:41:45.995-07:00They look great! We tried it last night and it wasn't bad! Kind of had the texture of a whole wheat pasta. It's amazing how much of our diets are based on wheat, going GF can't be easy!OhayoBentohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09902686521346596358noreply@blogger.com
